    Teen abducted at gunpoint found safely

    UPDATE: The Memphis Police have announced that Lendey Godinez has been found safely.

    She was located safely in the 1900 block of Ezell Street.

    No one is in custody in connection with her abduction at this time.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Police have issued a City Watch for a 14-year-old girl who was abducted at gunpoint on Monday.

    At 3:00 p.m., Juarez Godinez said he was involved in a verbal altercation with the suspect Cristobal Perez regarding his 14-year-old daughter Lendey Godinez.

    Lendey Godinez was sitting inside Perez’s gray 2017 Nissan Rogue with TN tags reading BRT1109.

    Juarez Godinez said Perez pointed a handgun at him and then pointed it at Lendey and told her he would shoot her if she got out of the car.

    Perez left with the teenager and has not been seen since.

    Suspect dead after shootout with Memphis Police in Frayser

    The incident took place in the 800 block of Brower Street.

    Lendey Godinez has been described as a 14-year-old who is 5’4″ with black medium-length hair. She was last seen wearing a navy blue shirt.
