MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is now in jail after being accused of stabbing a man multiple times during a fight at a Midtown home back in January.

Corry Allen, 45, is charged with aggravated assault and is being held in jail on a $50,000 bond.

On January 12 at 9:30 p.m., officers say they responded to a home in the 1000 block of South Willet Street regarding an aggravated assault.

The victim stated that a man, later identified as Corry Allen, came to his home and they began arguing in the driveway.

That is when Allen pulled a butter knife out of his clothes, police say. As the two men wrestled over the knife, Allen allegedly stabbed the victim three times in the upper back and once in the right thigh.

MPD says Allen then left the scene on foot.

The victim was taken to Regional One Medical Center due to his injuries.

On January 26 around 2:55 p.m., the victim gave a statement to police and was able to identify Allen in a six-person line-up.

Corry Allen is due back in court on Wednesday morning.
