NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A Sunday morning crash involving a University of Tennessee football equipment truck shut down eastbound traffic on Interstate 40 at the I-30 merge for several hours.

ARDOT officials said the tractor-trailer was involved in a crash around 6:30 a.m., several hours after Arkansas Department of Transportation crews worked overnight in the area to clear fuel and debris from a Friday crash.

Since I-40 eastbound traffic is closed, traffic is diverted to I-30 westbound, with a turnaround at Exit 142 (Curtis Sykes Exit) and then take I-30 Eastbound to I-40 Eastbound.

The Tennessee team was returning from a game played in Oklahoma on Saturday.

Both lanes were reopened by 11:00 a.m.
