    Woman critical after scooter crash at Highland, Central

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman is critically injured after a crash involving a scooter near the University area Wednesday morning.

    According to police, just before 11:15 a.m., they responded to a crash involving a scooter at South Highland Street and Central Avenue. One female was found suffering from injuries.

    She was then taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

    Convicted felon arrested after leading police on footchase

    MPD says the driver did not stay at the scene.

    This is still an ongoing investigation.
