MPD shoots at dog attacking woman; dog grazed

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A dog was shot at after Memphis Police say it attacked a woman on Monday night.

At 5:55 p.m., officers responded to a call in the 3600 block of Marion Ave where a woman was being attacked by a dog.

An officer discharged their weapon, striking the dog and stopping the attack.

MPD said the dog was grazed.

Memphis Animal Services is on the way to get the dog.

The victim has minor injuries and no officers were injured.
