Jackson injured on day one of Grizzlies training camp

NASHVILLE – Not the way the Grizzlies were hoping to open training camp today over in Nashville.

Jaren Jackson Junior injured on day one of camp with hamstring tightness.

Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins announced post practice that the team feels it might be a strain.  Jackson will undergo an MRI with no timeline for his return to the court though it is unlikely that he takes part in the final two days of training camp.

Jackson becomes the fourth Grizzly to be sidelined before the start of the season.

GG Jackson is out until December after surgery on a broken bone in his foot.  Vince Williams will have his injured shin re-evaluated in the coming weeks and rookie guard Cam Spencer turned an ankle in the lead up to camp and won’t participate in Nashville this week.
