Man killed in East Memphis hit-and-run

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are reaching out to the public for help to identify a suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run.

On Friday at 10:10 p.m., officers responded to a fatal hit-and-run crash at Park Avenue near Maywood Street.

Officers were told that the male victim was crossing Park Avenue when he was struck by a white truck, going westbound on Park Avenue.

The driver stopped momentarily, looked back at the pedestrian and then left the scene.

The driver was last seen going westbound on Park Avenue.

The victim succumbed to his injuries on the scene.

At this time, Memphis Police say there is no additional information about the driver or the vehicle they were driving.
