    Mississippi county supervisor and son indicted on grand larceny charges

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Marshall County supervisor and his son are among those indicted on grand larceny charges by the grand jury, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.

    District 3 Supervisor Keith Taylor, his son Peyton Taylor, and Jacob Wilson (of Benton County) were indicted on two counts of grand larceny.

    According to the indictment, in May 2024, the three men stole wheat worth between $5,000 and $25,000 from Yates Construction LLC. They are also accused of stealing $1,000 worth of water from the Marshall County Watter Association in July 2024.

    The defendants face up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $20,000 if convicted.

    Wilson, Supervisor Taylor, and Taylor’s son will appear in circuit court in November.
