    No shots fired near airport area, police say

    UPDATE:

    Initial reports stated that officers were responding to a shots fired call, but the MPD has now confirmed that this was not a shooting.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shots were fired early Thursday morning near the airport area, according to Memphis Police.

    Around 5:25 a.m. officers say they responded to the 2400 block of Dwight Road regarding a shooting call.

    It is unclear at this time if anyone is injured or in police custody. But, this is still an ongoing investigation.
