MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The body of a fisherman whose unoccupied boat was found Saturday on the Tennessee River was recovered Monday, state officials said.

The victim was identified as 46-year-old Jonathan Finley of Adamsville, Tennessee.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency along with Hardin County authorities began searching for Finley on Saturday, after his boat was found floating near mile marker 192 on Saturday. A chair and fishing equipment were found nearby on a riverbank.

Finley’s death marks the 21st fatal boating incident in Tennessee this year.

Sometimes these boating accidents seem so strange. It's like you really don't know what happened. His boat was found unoccupied. A chair and fishing equipment on a riverbank. It's like he was fishing and maybe his boat started getting pulled by the current and he was trying to retrieve it and drowned in the process.... I don't know... Rest Easy, Jonathan 🕊️
