The break-ins took place between September 20 and October 11.

Police say Wright’s first offense was a burglary at Memphis Chess Club on Madison Avenue. He allegedly broke in through the front door and filled up a garbage bag with various liquor bottles, totaling $1,300 in alcohol.

Wright returned to the business on October 1 and 8, stealing another $700 in liquor, reports say.

On October 11, Wright allegedly broke into Blues Hall and King’s Palace Cafe, both on Beale Street, and stole $800 in liquor bottles.

Wright is accused of stealing a total of $2,800 in liquor from the businesses.

His bond has not been set.
