Man dead, woman injured in North Memphis shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead and a woman was injured after a shooting in North Memphis, MPD says.

At 4:11 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 1400 block of N. Bellevue Blvd.

A man was pronounced deceased on the scene and a woman was treated on the scene for minor injuries.

A detective familiar with the case says this was a domestic dispute that turned deadly.

It’s alleged the male victim, was involved in an earlier fight with the mother of his child. After leaving, it’s alleged she returned with backup. Shots were fired and the male victim was hit and killed.

Memphis Police say that there is no suspect information at this time.
