Frost expected in the Mid-South Wednesday, Thursday morning

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Due to cool overnight temperatures, frost and freeze are expected around the Mid-South on Wednesday and Thursday morning.

Wednesday morning temperatures will be in the low 40s near Memphis, but in the mid to high 30s just about everywhere else.

With the breeze still blowing a bit overnight, frost will likely be patchy, but you’ll still want to protect any sensitive plants that you’re hoping to keep around for a few more weeks.

Wednesday will be cool and sunny with highs about 15 degrees below normal – only topping out near 60. This is more typical of mid-November rather than mid-October.

With lighter winds Wednesday night, frost will likely be more widespread. Kids will definitely need the coats at the bus stop the next couple of mornings.

We’ll warm back up into the 70s later this week.
