Grizzlies sign Pippen to first NBA contract

MEMPHIS – To no one’s surprise, Scotty Pippen Junior has earned his first NBA contract.

It’s a reported four-year deal for the undrafted point guard out of Vanderbilt.

Pippen really shined during Summer League play after a solid finish to the Grizzlies injury plagued season last year where Pippen averaged 13 points, 3 rebounds and five assists while shooting 49-percent from the field. 42 percent from three-point range.

Pippen is expected to back up Ja Morant and gives the Grizzlies 14 players on the roster.
