    Large fire shuts down Interstate 55 near Mallory

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A major fire has shut down part of Interstate 55 near Mallory Avenue just before 10 Thursday night.

    Video from TDOT shows flames climbing near the Valero refinery in that area. Fire crews are at the scene attempting to douse the flames.

    Memphis Police say it was a vehicle fire. They responded at 9:30.

    The vehicle appears to be a large tanker truck that is burning under the Mallory overpass.
