MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was arrested on Friday after Memphis Police say he shot at his ex-girlfriend’s car after an argument earlier this month.

On October 3 at 11 a.m., deputies responded to an aggravated assault in the 5000 block of Blacksmith Drive.

Deputies spoke with a victim who told them that when she came home, she and her ex-boyfriend, Aaron Malone, got into a verbal altercation.

The victim said she told the suspect to leave and he replied, “If I leave, you’ll be dead.”

The victim said she attempted to get away from the situation and Malone pulled out a black handgun, raised it towards her and allegedly fired one round.

That’s when the victim said she then sped off to get to safety.

While investigating, deputies did not see any damage to the victim’s vehicle and there were no injuries sustained.

Malone has been charged with aggravated assault and is expected to appear before a judge on Monday.
