MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a man they say stabbed his ex-girlfriend as she walked into her workplace.

Antonio Pewitte has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated domestic assault after police say he stabbed his child’s mother four times in the face and once in the forearm this weekend.

Bells Police officers immediately obtained a search warrant Saturday evening and attempted to locate Pewitte at his residence. He was not there but the white Chevrolet Tahoe that eyewitnesses saw him driving was on the property.

After seizing and inspecting the vehicle, they saw there were blood stains on the interior.

Officers say that Pewitte has a history of domestic violence and should be considered armed and dangerous.

For those who see him, Bells Police asks that you do not approach and instead call 911.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Antonio “Shade” Jacques Pewitte, please call or text Sgt. Crawford with the Bells PD at (731) 443-0768.
