MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A personal assistant and boutique owner accused of stealing millions from her boss appeared in front of a judge on Monday.

Ivey Jennings, known as Mimi Morton, will now remain out on a $60,000 bond.

She entered court Monday wearing baby blue and, according to her attorney, sporting a baby bump.

Jennings who once owned an online and pop-up boutique in Germantown and was a personal assistant, has now been indicted for allegedly stealing her boss’ money and identity for nearly three years, even purchasing a Lexus SUV in the process.

In September, Jennings didn’t show up to court and her attorney shared she was pregnant and they would provide a doctor’s note.

“She does live in South Carolina. She’s also a high-risk pregnancy at this time,” her attorney told the judge.

There was no mention of the doctor’s note Monday.

In chancery court, WREG Investigators tracked down records claiming Jennings stole $3.4 million from her boss to fund an “extravagant lifestyle.”

On Monday, a judge said Jennings’ bond agreement restricts her to the Southeast region while checking in once a week.

She will be back in court on December 9.
