    AEW Dynamite Results (7/31/24): Darby Allin, Will Ospreay, Mercedes Moné, More

    All Elite Wrestling presented a star-studded show with the July 31 episode of AEW Dynamite .

    Among other matches, Darby Allin faced “Hangman” Adam Page. Plus, Will Ospreay took on Lance Archer. Additionally, fans heard from Bryan Danielson and Mercedes Moné.

    The results are below.

    AEW Dynamite Results

    In-Ring Segment: MJF

    AEW American Champion MJF comes out. He insults the crowd and calls his championship the most important title in the world. He faces the camera so he can talk to “real America”. MJF calls Will Ospreay a redcoat terrorist and says he will beat him again at AEW All In. He tells the crowd to show some respect and rise for their “American hero.” Ospreay runs in, and MJF escapes. Ospreay says he’s going to put MJF through pain that he can’t imagine.

    He says he knows Americans love their flag, but none of the fans acknowledge MJF’s title. Ospreay says no one acknowledges his title because the former AEW International Champions worked hard to build its prestige. He tells MJF he’s not worthy of holding the title.

    Ospreay says he will restore prestige to the title. MJF says he won’t talk smack, as he lets his actions do the talking. He tells Ospreay he’s going to annihilate him. MJF says he has a feeling that Ospreay won’t make it to AEW All In because he’s about to face Lance Archer.

    Will Ospreay Faces Lance Archer

    Will Ospreay vs. Lance Archer

    Archer overpowers Ospreay early on and controls the action. Ospreay fires back with an acrobatic kick. Archer catches Ospreay when he goes for a dive to the outside and slams him on the floor. Ospreay sends Archer into the barricade. Back in the ring, Ospreay catches Archer with a kick. Archer dumps him with a chokeslam. He grounds Ospreay and continues to overpower him. Archer maintains the advantage.

    Ospreay counters a chokeslam and kicks Archer. Archer floors him with a spinning slam. He gets a two-count with a spinebuster. Ospreay fires up with a Spanish fly. Archer again squashes the rally. Ospreay crotches him on the ropes and hits an avalanche Spanish fly. He hits the Os-cutter for a two-count. Archer counters the Hidden Blade with a lariat. Ospreay counters the Blackout into a DDT and hits the Hidden Blade for a one-count. Ospreay hits a second Hidden Blade for the win.

    Winner: Will Ospreay

    MJF runs in and attacks Ospreay. He drops him with a Brainbuster. Kyle Fletcher makes the save, and MJF flees. Fletcher says Ospreay is his best friend, and he is his brother. He calls MJF a narcissistic asshole. Fletcher calls himself the karma that’s coming to bite MJF in the ass.

    Fletcher says MJF doesn’t care about America. As for foreign wrestlers, he says dreamt of moving to America because this is where the best wrestle. He says his dreams have come true in America. Fletcher says he is sick of the same old MJF “bullcrap”. MJF teases coming down to fight Fletcher but says no. He says Fletcher doesn’t call the shots, but he will give him a match next week. MJF says he will break Fletcher’s neck and leave him in a pool of his own blood. MJF says it will all be Ospreay’s fault.

    A video package hypes up AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland.

    Chris Jericho Responds To Katsuyori Shibata

    After a video package recaps Chris Jericho’s match against Minoru Suzuki, Alex Marvez interviews Chris Jericho, Big Bill, and Bryan Keith. Bill is holding a cake, and he says they’re celebrating Jericho reaching 102 days as FTW Champion. Jericho hypes up his reign and says he’s going to smash Katsuyori Shibata’s face last week. He says Shibata is all alone. Jericho says Bryan Keith will take Shibata out. Keith says Shibata should mind his business, and next, he’ll be his business.

    Willow Nightingale Battles Kris Statlander

    CMLL World Women’s Championship Eliminator: Willow Nightingale vs. Kris Statlander (with Stokely Hathaway)

    Statlander catches Nightingale with a dropkick right away. Nightingale responds with some strikes. They trade pin attempts. Willow drills Statlander with an elbow and suplexes her. The bout spills to the outside. Nightingale sends Statlander into the barricade. Statlander dodges a cannonball, sending Willow into the barricade. Back in the ring, Statlander takes control and grounds Nightingale.

    Nightingale rallies and plants Statlander with a spinebuster. Statlander responds with a face-buster and an axe kick. Nightingale hits a Death Valley Driver on the apron. Nightingale grabs Hathaway and hits him. Statlander blindsides Nightingale and gets her back in the ring. Statlander hits a 450 splash for a two-count. Hathaway gives Statlander a steel chain. She hits a discuss clothesline for the win.

    Winner: Kris Statlander

    Statlander attacks Nightingale with a chair after the match. Officials run in to separate them. Statlander hits some of the officials, and the referee helps Nightingale to the back.

    Bryan Danielson Speaks

    In-Ring Segment: Bryan Danielson

    Bryan Danielson comes to the ring and addresses the crowd. He notes that you don’t know that it’s the gold old days until they’re almost gone. Danielson reflects on being forced to retire. He says the last three years in AEW have been the most fun times he’s had in his career. Danielson says he was able to be present for special moments.

    He says he promised his daughter that he would stop wrestling full-time when she was seven, and he promised his family the contract he signed with AEW would be the last wrestling contract that he signed. Danielson says that the contract is up tomorrow, and he had promised to give it his all every time he wrestled. He says that he vowed to win the world title when he came to AEW, and he hasn’t done that yet. Danielson says AEW All In will be his last shot. He notes that doctors don’t want him to wrestle, but he promises to go to Wembley Stadium to give it his all.

    Danielson promises to go all in with his mind, body, and soul at AEW All In.

    Swerve Strickland Confronts Bryan Danielson

    AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland interrupts. Strickland says he respects the hell out of Danielson for inspiring wrestlers like him to chase their dreams. He says that if it was another time, he would be rooting for him. But Swerve says this is his time, and he’s one of a kind. Danielson says this is not an achievement award, as the title showed that the holder was the best in the world.

    Strickland highlights how he led Team AEW to victory at Blood & Guts. He wonders whether Danielson’s body was just unable to hold up to the pressure of being a champion. Strickland says he’s the most dangerous man in AEW, and Danielson will not win the title at AEW All In. Danielson promises Strickland that he will never wrestle again if he loses. Danielson puts his career on the line at AEW All In, and Strickland shakes his hand.

    Backstage, Jeff Jarrett greets Danielson. Danielson challenges Jarrett to face him next week.

    The Conglomeration In Action

    Roderick Strong, RUSH & Roderick Strong vs. The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Mark Briscoe & Tomohiro Ishii)

    The two teams start brawling right away. Cassidy and Mortos are left alone. Mortos gains the upper hand. Ishii tags in and squares off with Mortos. They duke it out. Ishii dumps Mortos with a suplex. RUSH and Ishii square off and trade shots. RUSH drops Ishii with an elbow strike. Briscoe and RUSH exchange strikes.

    Strong catches Briscoe with a dropkick. Briscoe drops him with a blockbuster on the floor and dives onto RUSH and Mortos. RUSH takes control and grounds Cassidy. Mortos and RUSH double-team Cassidy. Briscoe tags in and clears house with a flurry of offense. Ishii dishes out some German suplexes. Briscoe hits Froggy Bow. The match breaks down in chaos as bodies are flying.

    RUSH dives onto The Conglomeration at ringside. Strong slams Ishii. Briscoe catches Mortos with a kick. Cassidy hits Strong with the Orange Punch. RUSH headbutts Briscoe, and Mortos spikes Briscoe for the win.

    Winners: The Beast Mortos, RUSH & Roderick Strong

    Backstage, The Acclaimed and “Daddy Ass” say they’re coming to AEW Collision. They say they’re looking for FTR, but FTR is nowhere to be found. Max Caster says they’re scared of The Acclaimed. He says maybe FTR aren’t serious wrestlers because they didn’t show up. Anthony Bowens says they’ll come to Collision, and they hope FTR shows up.

    Mariah May is asked about attacking Toni Storm. She says Storm didn’t do anything to her, and she gave Mariah everything she ever wanted. May says she loved Storm, but it was her turn to “eat.”

    Toni Storm comes to the stage and says she loved Mariah May too. Storm says it will be the romance of a “bloody lifetime” when they clash at AEW All In.

    Kamille’s In-Ring Debut

    Kamille (with Mercedes Moné) vs. Brittany Jade

    Kamile charges Jade and overwhelms her with some hammering strikes. Kamille continues to dominate, and she slams Jade for the victory.

    Winner: Kamille

    Moné addresses the crowd. She introduces Kamille as the newest member of Moné Corporation. She says Baker has been tormenting her, and it’s like she’s obsessed with her. Moné says Baker has been suspended. Moné says AEW is her house now, and she’s going to turn it into a mansion. She says losing to Moné will be the best thing to ever happen to Baker.

    Darby Allin Faces Hangman Page

    Darby Allin vs. “Hangman” Adam Page

    Allin and Page go back and forth, and Allin sends the former world champion to the outside. He goes for a five, but Page suplexes him onto the floor. Page slams Allin into the barricade. He gets a chair and argues with the referee. Allin capitalizes and hits Page with a Stunner. He dives off the entrance tunnel and onto Page.

    Back in the ring. Page takes control and grounds Allin. Page chokes Allin and continues to overpower him. Allin rallies. The lights go out, but the match continues. The lights come back on. Page slams Allin into the ring post and into the apron. He slams him onto the apron again and tosses him into the steel steps. Page slams Allin onto the steps again. Back in the ring, Page throws Allin across the ring.

    Allin fires up by tripping Page on the steps and gouging his eyes. He rockets out of the ring and onto Page. Allin whips Page with his belt and dropkicks him. Allin hits a Code Red. Page counters the Coffin Drop into a sleeper, but Allin turns it into a pin attempt. Page levels Allin with a lariat. He gets a two-count with a powerbomb. Page hits two Deadeyes. He goes for the Buckshot, but Allin collapses. Allin fires up and rolls Page up for the win.

    Winner: Darby Allin
