NJPW G1 Climax 34: Zack Sabre Jr, Shingo Takagi, And Great-O-Khan Advance To Playoffs

Zack Sabre Jr, Shingo Takagi, and Great-O-Khan advance to the next round of the NJPW G1 Climax 34.

On the fifteenth night of the iconic tournament, the top three wrestlers in Block A have been confirmed, with three big wins . Zack Sabre Jr topped his group, beating SANADA to finish with seven wins and two losses.

He now advances to the semi-finals of the tournament, and he and remains one of the favorites to win the G1 Climax for the first time.

Sabre Jr. joins Shingo Tagaki and Great-O-Khan to round off the top three in the G1 Climax Group A. Both men won their matches on August 12, as Takagi beat Jake Lee to earn his 10th point. He advances to the quarter-finals alongside Great-O-Khan.

Great-O-Khan picked up a huge victory against IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Naito in Nagaoka. This knocked Naito out of the tournament.

Moving forward Shingo Takagi will face Great-O-Khan in the quarter-finals of the NJPW G1 Climax 34. Zack Sabre Jr. will face the winner in the semifinals on August 17.

• A Block : Shingo Takagi (5–4) defeated Jake Lee (4–5). Shingo Takagi advances to the quarter-finals.
• A Block : Zack Sabre Jr. (7–2) defeated SANADA (4–5). Zack Sabre Jr advances to the semi-finals.
• A Block : Gabe Kidd (4–5) defeated Callum Newman (2–7)
• Ren Narita, Yujiro Takahashi, SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Jeff Cobb, HENARE & Francesco Akira
