Otis Seemingly Accepts Oba Femi’s Open Challenge For 8/13 WWE NXT

Otis looks set to face Oba Femi on NXT this week.

The NXT North American Champion made a brief, yet memorable appearance on Raw last night. He appeared in the crowd before Alpha Academy faced American Made in tag team action.

Oba Femi stared down with the Alpha Academy member, teasing a match in the future between the two powerhouses. That match will apparently come a lot sooner than anybody expected.

Alpha Academy spoke with Cathy Kelly in a Raw Exclusive on YouTube. Otis addressed the apparent challenge from Oba Femi, and introduced himself to the NXT North American Champion.

He warned Oba Femi that he was coming for him, and challenged him to a match for his title The “open challenge” is set for NXT tonight, pitting “Big Otis vs Oba” for the first time ever.

“Oba, how are you doing? I’m Otis, and that 20 pounds of gold on your shoulder sure looks damn good.”

“Cuz one thing that people know out there is I’m one mean… Mmm mm, mother. I’m coming for you. Tomorrow night, open challenge for the North American Championship. Yes, Big Otis versus Oba. Yeah.”

As previously announced, Oba Femi was set to have an open challenge on NXT against a mystery opponent. It looks as though Otis is that surprise challenger.

As of this writing, Otis has not been confirmed as Femi’s opponent. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available, and we will have coverage of NXT as it airs on Tursday.
