Trick Williams: NXT’s Product Is A Direct Reflection Of Shawn Michaels’ Leadership

Former NXT Champion Trick Williams shared his thoughts on NXT’s recent success.

While speaking with WGN News , Trick Williams discussed how the NXT product is a direct reflection of the leadership of WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. (H/t Corey Brennan of Fightful for the transcription)

“Man, I think the product that we have here at NXT is a direct reflection of Shawn Michaels’ leadership,” Trick Williams said. “You know what I mean? He teaches us, he trains us to move, to keep everything exciting. And that’s what we do, man. We bring that action. We got something to prove. You can compare us to FBS, SEC-like football compared to the pro.

“Yeah, the pros, they make the big bucks. They’re doing big things. But those guys in college, man, they hungry. They can’t wait to get to the next level. That’s us here at NXT, we hungry. We wanna prove ourselves every single time we in that ring.”
