Camron Branae has much love for her “soul sister” Sol Ruca.

While she is no longer with WWE, Camron Branae continues to carry forth some life-long friendships she first formed within the company. During a recent interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay , Branae, formerly known as Amari Miller, opened up about some of those notable friendships, namely with Alba Fyre, Piper Niven, and Sol Ruca.

In diving deeper into her friendship with Ruca, Branae admitted that her first impressions of Ruca were slightly rooted in annoyance and later, jealousy. As the two further connected at the WWE Performance Center and WWE live events, however, Branae realized that was a bond was budding.

“Sol came in and we weren’t really talking because new kids come in, you don’t know how long they’re going to last. So at that time, we were just getting those athletes and all of us indie wrestlers, we weren’t spiteful, but we were like, ‘What did she do? Gymnast, cool. What did she do? Whatever,'” Branae recalled.

“I remember seeing her in training. She had the most beautiful front flip bump ever, and then, excuse my language, but I was like, ‘B*tch, must be nice to be her.’ And I remember a piece of me being so jealous that I wasn’t able to do full flippy stuff. Then we kind of would just talk at the practice matches and things like that. ‘Hey, how are you? Good. How are you?’ We’d be in class. We joke around and do small [talk].'”

In one instance, Branae recalled walking to the locker room at a WWE live event with Ruca to retrieve a bag of chips of from her locker. Rather than asking for a chip, Ruca raised a flat palm to Branae, to which Branae jokingly told Ruca that she could have simply asked. Afterward, Branae and Ruca began filming TikTok videos and ventured out to local coffee shops together.

    Attached At The Knee

The true bonding point between Ruca and Branae, however, came after some unfortunate circumstances, as both suffered the same knee injury in 2023.

“I tear my ACL and I come back home to Missouri. We were talking a little bit, but I was more friends with like Lyra [Valkyria], [Alba Fyre] and Piper [Niven]. As I come back, I remember her and I were just joking around. She was like, ‘You like me?’ And I was like, ‘You didn’t even call me when I was gone. We’re not friends.'”

“I remember she got into a car accident, I was the first one she called. I’m over here walking my dog with a knee brace on trying to crutch my way to her car accident. She’s crying. It was me, her, Dani Palmer, our coach AJ at the time that was all there for her. She came up to me one day and she was like, ‘Hey, when you tore your ACL, did it feel this way or did it feel like this?’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, like, I think you’re fine. You don’t have any symptoms that I did. My knee was locked out.'”

Unfortunately for Ruca, her knee was not fine, as an x-ray revealed she had torn her ACL. Luckily, though, an empathetic Branae immediately took her out to the arcade and movies to keep her mind off of the development. From there, Branae and Ruca were “inseparable.”

“We would go see horror movies all the time, would make TikToks all the time. We’d be drinking coffee together. We were inseparable — inseparable to the point where our rehab times at the PC were at the same time.”
