John Cena provides some more details about his WWE farewell tour.

16-time world champion John Cena will retire at the end of 2025 after he completes a farewell tour throughout the year. Cena announced the news at WWE Money in the Bank. He has talked about it in subsequent interviews. However, the exact details have remained somewhat unclear.

Speaking with Collider’s Steve Weintraub , John Cena commented on his WWE farewell tour. He stated that it would be around 36 dates. Cena then expressed his gratitude to the fans.

“I have given the calendar 2025 to WWE,” he said. “I am retiring in 2025, and I start that farewell tour in January, and I’ll end it in December. It’s gonna be right around 36 dates, around the world, to pay thanks and gratitude to the WWE audiences around the world. So that’s what I’m doing in 2025.”

“I’m grateful, the audiences have been there for me for close to 25 years now, so I just want to say thank you.”

WrestleZone will provide more information about John Cena’s farewell tour as it becomes available.

John Cena: WWE Farewell Won’t Be Bittersweet

Cena recently discussed his farewell tour. Speaking with ExtraTV , he noted that it would be fun, not bittersweet.

“It’s gonna be fun, and not bittersweet for me. It’s gonna be fun,” John Cena said. “I’m so grateful that I’m in a position where I still have my health and I’m able to carve out a large section of time and perform for a year, from January until December, and give everyone also a head’s up. A lot of times in WWE, sometimes injuries force retirement all of the sudden, so one day you’re there and the next day, you’re gone. Or sometimes you say you’re retiring and it’s part of the bit, you want to attack somebody and get a shot at the champion.”
