FTR To Face The Acclaimed For AEW Tag Title Shot On 8/17 AEW Collision

Former tag team champions will clash on the August 17 episode of AEW Collision , as FTR will face The Acclaimed .

On the August 14 episode of AEW Dynamite, The Acclaimed challenged The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. They battled back and forth, and a key point in the match came when the referee got knocked down. Matthew Jackson kicked Max Caster below the belt, and the Bucks went to use the tag team titles. However, FTR ran in, and when Matthew Jackson spit on him, Dax Harwood attacked him. The match then ended in a disqualification.

Backstage, AEW Interim EVP Christopher Daniels was asked about the situation. He announced that FTR will face The Acclaimed on the August 17 episode of AEW Collision. The winner of that match will challenge The Young Bucks for the titles at AEW All In.

FTR previously faced The Young Bucks at AEW All In, where they beat the duo to win the gold. The Young Bucks got revenge by defeating FTR in a Ladder Match for the vacant titles at AEW Dynasty.
