On the June 17, the Wyatt Sicks made their chilling debut on WWE Raw . The group revealed a horror-esque scene backstage. A trail of WWE officials and performers was laid out while the Wyatt Sicks menacingly stood over them. One of the most shocking victims of this carnage was Chad Gable, whose head was bloodied. The image led some fans to joke that the Wyatt Sicks “killed” Gable.

During a recent interview on Insight With Chris Van Vliet , Gable reflected on the memorable moment.

“That was quite a night,” Gable said. “Out of everything I’ve done over the past couple of years, the response to that was so out of this world insane. People thought [I was dead], I can’t tell you the amount of people that thought something actually happened to me.”

“I went to church that Sunday and ran into a little kid who was watching. I was kind of hiding my head from him and he was making his way around me to get a look at my head. And he’s like ‘Where did it [the wound] go?’ I’m like, ‘Well, I mean, I fixed it bud, I went to the hospital and stuff, it was bad.’ And he’s like ‘What did they do to you?’ I’m like, ‘You’ll have to tune in tomorrow night.’ They were into it; it was really interesting.”

Chad Gable later aligned with The Creed Brothers to combat the Wyatt Sicks. The trio lost to the Wyatt Sicks on the August 5 episode of WWE RAW.
