Report: Sting Has Been Backstage At Recent AEW Events

Sting might be done as an in-ring performer, but it doesn’t sound like he’s completely done with All Elite Wrestling .

The Icon’s former AEW tag team partner Darby Allin has noted as of late that Sting has been backstage at some recent events for the company.

Sting also took to social media following All Elite Wrestling’s announcement of their Texas stadium show this week to voice his support, tweeting out:

“Hmmm… just down the road. I’ll be watching from ‘somewhere,'” Sting said in a post.

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select ), the retired star has been seen backstage at a couple of the recent AEW/ROH shows in Texas. The Icon lives in the area so this shouldn’t be seen as too surprising.

The Stinger spent his time there visiting friends and was there. At one event, in particular, to watch Darby Allin perform on an episode of Collision.

It’s unknown if and when we’ll see The Icon appear on AEW programming again.
