Gail Kim: Roxanne Perez Lives Up To The Name ‘The Prodigy’

TNA Hall of Famer Gail Kim can’t wait to see what Roxanne Perez does on the main roster.

Roxanne Perez continues to reign supreme in her second reign as NXT Women’s Champion, and many fans are buzzing about her eventual call-up to the main roster.

Speaking on the GABBY AF podcast, Gail Kim praised NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and said that she lived up to her nickname of “The Prodigy.” (Ht Andrew Thompson of POST Wrestling for the transcription)

“I got to produce her one match when she was in TNA. She did the ROH women’s title against Deonna Purrazzo in the main event for Impact,” she said. “That match in itself, woah, I got goosebumps just thinking about it. I actually saw her last night because I go to NXT because we have talent there, I have to drive up every week to just be there as a TNA representative. I saw her. And I never really got to talk to her since I saw her match at Great American Bash two weeks ago. They [Perez and Thea Hail] were the main event and they killed it. I just told her, I was like ‘That match. Chef’s kiss, you know?’ I love women’s wrestling and those two, they laid it all out there. They had match of the night to me, 100 percent. She is a natural, obviously. What’s her nickname, The Prodigy? She lives up to the name, she really does. I can’t wait to see what she does on the main roster. I think it’s about that time soon.”
