Update On Jonathan Gresham’s TNA Status

Jonathan Gresham recently signed with Memphis Championship Wrestling, but that won’t affect his status with TNA.

Memphis Wrestling recently announced that Gresham is joining its roster as a full-time wrestler and mentor/coach for the promotion’s wrestling school.

“We are beyond excited to welcome Jonathan Gresham to our team. His unparalleled technical expertise and experience make him the perfect addition to our roster,” Dustin Starr, Owner and Host of Memphis Wrestling said in a press release. “Jonathan’s role as a mentor will undoubtedly elevate the skills and professionalism of our talent, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact he will have on our wrestlers and our brand.”

TNA also announced it had signed Gresham to a contract in April 2024. However, the terms of that deal were not disclosed publicly.

WrestleZone reached out to clarify Gresham’s status with both respective companies and confirmed the following with multiple sources:

Jonathan Gresham is still under contract with TNA Wrestling. He will work for both TNA and Memphis Wrestling. Gresham will be a full-time on-screen character for the latter, while also helping assist with training in his mentor/coach role.

Jonathan Gresham’s next TV appearances

Gresham was part of TNA’s most recent television tapings in Tampa. His next match, against NXT’s Charlie Dempsey, will air on the August 22 episode of TNA Impact.

Gresham’s first appearance for Memphis Wrestling will air on Saturday, August 17, on: WMC Action News 5 Plus , WBBJ Jackson , Triller TV+ , and YouTube . Gresham’s wife, TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace , is also advertised to appear.
