Claudio Castagnoli Previews Match Against Kazuchika Okada, Teases AEW All In Plans

Claudio Castagnoli speaks highly of Kazuchika Okada ahead of their match on the August 21 episode of AEW Dynamite.

On the August 21 episode of AEW Dynamite, Kazuchika Okada will defend the AEW Continental Championship against Claudio Castagnoli. The match will pit Castagnoli against the former seven-time world champion in NJPW.

In an interview with Liam Crowley of ComicBook , Claudio Castagnoli discussed facing Kazuchika Okada.

“I’ve known Okada for over 15 years,” Claudio Castagnoli said. “I’ve known him since before he became The Rainmaker, I’ve known him since before I went to WWE, I think maybe even before I went to Ring of Honor, I’ve known him for a very long time. It was amazing to see his transformation into The Rainmaker and to see what he has achieved, and I’ve always tried to keep up with what’s going on in the wrestling world. I was always curious to see how we would match up.”

Claudio Castagnoli Teases AEW All In Plans

When asked about potentially competing at AEW All In, Castagnoli teased that fans would have to wait and see.

“I guess we have to wait and see,” Claudio Castagnoli said. “Right after my match, I’m going to go to Mexico City for the Grand Prix and then I’ll come back for Wembley, so [I have a] full schedule. I’m super excited and I’m glad that the fans are still excited to see me wrestle. There’s some good stuff in store.”
