TNA iMPACT Results – August 22, 2024

This week’s episode of TNA iMPACT kicks off with a recap of last week’s show.

Hammerstone defeated Frankie Kazarian and KUSHIDA in an Ultimate X qualifier match

• Hammerstone hits KUSHIDA with the Nightmare Pendulum to score the pinfall victory.

After the match, Frankie Kazarian hits KUSHIDA with Fade To Black.

Eric Young is backstage. Young says Hammerstone might not make it to Ultimate X later this month after their match next week. Steve Maclin comes in and tells Young he’s watching him.

Mike Santana is backstage. Santana says for a long time he’s lived his life in survival mode. Santana says he’s tried to get away from that but it keeps pulling him back in and he has The System to thank for that. Mike says he now realizes the animal he needs to be and tells The System next time they better not miss and get the job done or he’s gonna take them out one by one and he’s not stopping until he cuts the head off the snake.

Rosemary defeated Alisha Edwards (w/ Masha Slamovich)

• Rosemary hits Alisha Edwards with As Above, So Below to score the pinfall victory.

Ash by Elegance is backstage. Ash says she will accept Jordynne Grace’s challenge on her terms and it will have to be a “match by elegance.”

PCO, Rhino, and Xia Brookside defeated Kon, Madman Fulton, and Steph De Lander

• Matt Cardona said he’s not medically cleared to compete yet and brought out Kon and Madman Fulton. PCO hits Madman Fulton with the PCOsault to score the pinfall victory for his team.

A rematch from last week’s TNA iMPACT will headline Emergence later this month

A video package plays, hyping up the Iron Man match between Nic Nemeth and Josh Alexander for the TNA World Championship.

Jordynne Grace is backstage. Grace accepts Ash by Elegance’s challenge for next week’s episode of TNA iMPACT.

Laredo Kid defeated Bhupinder Gujjar and Jai Vidal in an Ultimate X qualifier match

• Laredo Kid hits Jai Vidal with a 450 splash to score the pinfall victory.

Jonathan Gresham defeated Charlie Dempsey

• Jonathan Gresham caught Charlie Dempsey in a pin to score the victory.

A recap airs showing what took place in the closing moments of this week’s episode of WWE NXT.

The Hardys defeated Moose and JDC

• Jeff Hardy hits JDC with a Swanton Bomb to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Moose and JDC attack the Hardys after the match and Mike Santana comes out to even the odds. The rest of The System come out and have the numbers game until Joe Hendry hits the ring and takes everyone out as TNA iMPACT goes off the air.
