Roxanne Perez Is Grateful For CM Punk, Excited To Keep Learning From Him

Roxanne Perez is happy to know CM Punk.

Roxanna Perez has long cited AJ Lee as one of the inspirations behind her pursuit of professional wrestling. In turn, Lee has been hailed as Perez’s “wrestling mom” while her real-life husband CM Punk serves as Perez’s “wrestling dad.” Since Punk’s November 2023 return to WWE, Perez has had opportunity to train and appear on-screen alongside him.

During a recent interview with Scott Fishman for TV Insider, Perez opened up about her growing relationship with Punk.

“He is such an inspiration,” Perez said. “I grew up watching him, so to have him now and be under his learning tree and get all this advice from him. He is always stopping by the NXT [premium live events] to sit and watch the whole show and be there after our matches to give us all advice, which is something he does not have to do. He just does it. I’m so grateful for him. He is super awesome. I’ve learned so much from him already. I can’t wait to continue learning from him.”

Perez, the current NXT Women’s Champion, is now in her second reign with the title. CM Punk, a dormer WWE Champion, is currently entangled in a feud with Drew McIntyre, which will continue with a strap match at WWE Bash In Berlin. On October 1, CM Punk will return to WWE NXT as the brand makes its CW Network debut from his hometown of Chicago.
