Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes addressed the allegations against Vince McMahon . He also commented on the upcoming Netflix documentary about the former chairman.

In January, Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE, alleging that McMahon and Laurinaitis engaged in sexual assault and sex trafficking of her. McMahon denied the allegations but resigned from WWE and TKO. McMahon is under federal investigation regarding the allegations.

Speaking at the WWE Bash in Berlin post-show , Cody Rhodes was asked whether he would watch the upcoming Netflix documentary about Vince McMahon. He was also asked about the locker room being quiet about the allegations.

“I think it’s a great question,” Cody Rhodes said. “In terms of am I gonna watch it, not to sound cheeky but any means, I am deep in a Game of Thrones rewatch. That is a hell of a lot of commitment. I don’t know…I think there’s a bit of misinformation in terms of, WWE has no involvement in this documentary, as far as I know. I imagine I would get around to seeing it. In terms of the locker room being quiet or silent, whatever it may be, I don’t think that’s a matter of belief versus non-belief.”

Cody Rhodes: The Locker Room Is Focused On What We Do

Rhodes also said that the locker room is focused on performing. He stated that they typically find out information at the same time as everyone else. Rhodes also noted that he would not look at their approach as an active attempt to be silent.

“I think it’s strictly speaking, we want to be doing what we were doing out there,” Rhodes said. “The focus and attention that it takes to have a great story and have a great match and do that every single night, has left most of us where we’re finding the information out just as you are. That includes the resolution of this information, in terms of what happened, how it happened, and how justice comes about, whatever it may be. But I wouldn’t look at it as an active attempt from the locker room to be silent. We just are doing what we do day to day, WWE business.”

    Cody Rhodes On Janel Grant

Rhodes was then directly asked whether he believed Janel Grant’s allegations. He stated that he did not know enough about them to give a good enough answer.

“Again, I don’t know enough about the information to give you a good enough answer there. I’m sorry,” he said.

Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens to retain his title at WWE Bash in Berlin.
