CM Punk On Beating Drew McIntyre: If Anybody Messes With My Dog, I Hurt Them

CM Punk got revenge for his wife and his dog by beating Drew McIntyre at WWE Bash in Berlin.

At WWE Bash in Berlin, CM Punk defeated Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match. This evened the score after McIntyre beat Punk in his in-ring return at WWE SummerSlam.

In a WWE Bash in Berlin exclusive , CM Punk was asked about getting his bracelet back.

“It feels good. I think a big deal’s been made out of this, but it was really about the disrespect to my dog and my wife, and I plan on going home and giving my dog and my wife a big hug and a kiss,” Punk said. “Maybe not in that order, but probably in that order, and move on to bigger and better things.

Punk was then asked whether his wife had given him a message ahead of the match. He noted that any time his dog was involved, his wife told him to make the opponent pay.

“Yeah, she told me, any time it involves Larry, she tells me, ‘Make sure you hurt ‘em.’ Just like in the past, anybody messes with my dog, and I hurt ‘em,” CM Punk said. “And I think I hurt Drew, and I can hopefully move on. I got gold on my mind.”

CM Punk On His Win

Punk was then asked what picking up his first win at a premium live event since his return meant to him. He said that it meant a lot to him, but he had a lot of work to do. Punk then expressed is excitement for the future.

“It means a lot to me, and I look at the miles ahead, not the miles behind,” CM Punk said. “I still got a lot of work to do. But coming back eight months ago, getting put on the shelf for six of those months, and finally coming back and feeling 100%, getting my confidence back and getting a W is gonna go a long way. So I’m excited for Monday Night Raw, and I’m excited for the future. Coming here to Germany and wrestling in front of the people in Berlin is a dream come true that I never thought I would experience again, so it’s been a fun trip.”

Punk was also asked about fans chanting for him and whether that ever got old. He stated that it felt more special than ever because he was more grateful for it.

“It feels special every time, and it feels more special today because I think I’m just a hell of a lot more grateful for it,” CM Punk said. “I certainly don’t take it for granted anymore.
