WWE Bash in Berlin is officially in the books.

WWE brought the latest main roster PLE to Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany, with over 13,000 fans in attendance — and they were loud. The five-match card featured three title bouts, a Strap Match, and mixed tag team action.

So without further ado, let’s dive right into our Bash in Berlin review.

Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens – Undisputed WWE Championship

Rhodes and Owens showed plenty of mixed emotions in the build-up to this match. Once the bell rang, the competitors evaded each other’s big moves in the early going. Owens took some major swings, and Rhodes’ knee buckled when he went for the cutter. Owens fought his emotions but ultimately attacked Cody’s knee. He teased a powerbomb on the apron, but his hesitation proved to be his undoing.

This high-profile bout was solid pick to kick off WWE Bash in Berlin. Owens got several nearfalls on Rhodes to a great response from the crowd. It seemed like the fans really wanted KO to win the big one. Hopefully, he will get another world title run somewhere down the line.

Women’s Tag Tile Match at WWE Bash in Berlin

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair challenged The Unholy Union for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in the second match of the night. Cargill and Belair used their strength to gain momentum in the early going, but the champions reversed the tide. Alba Fyre hit some pretty brutal suicide dives. Cargill then got the hot tag and cleared the ring to set up the triumphant conclusion.

This was a decent tag team title match with the wrong winners. WWE had the opportunity to solidify Unholy Union’s tag team title run here, but they fumbled it. At this point, it seemed like WWE wants Cargill to get more in-ring exposure before setting the course for her solo run. For now, the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions are set for a victory celebration on the September 2 episode of WWE RAW.

CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre – Strap Match

Punk and McIntyre brought the fight to each other in their rematch from WWE SummerSlam. McIntyre didn’t let Punk finish his entrance. “The Scottish Warrior” dished out plenty of punishment on Punk before busting him wide open. The match also featured two table bumps. The two foes built up some drama before Punk finally tapped their hands on all four corners of the ring post.

This buzzworthy battle proved to be a storyline-driven match with some fun spots. The use of blood added to the intensity of what has been an thrilling rivalry. McIntyre wowed the crowd by sending Punk crashing through a table. Punk paid tribute to Bret Hart, much to the delight of the crowd. Punk spamming the GTS was fun as well. Many fans are hoping for a rubber match, and WWE Bad Blood might be the perfect place to settle the score.

The Terror Twins vs. The Judgment Day at WWE Bash in Berlin

Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan showed up first. Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley arrived next. Priest threw some haymakers on Dominik, who sold the offense like a champion. Ripley got a tremendous pop with the tag. Morgan and Ripley had some good back-and-forth exchanges. The flipping powerbomb stuff from Liv looked great. The match lasted nearly 15 minutes before The Terror Twins emerged victorious.

This match was so fun to watch, and it was an incredible display of tag team action from both duos. Morgan and Mysterio sold the offense brilliantly. Mysterio cut himself open from the corner of the eyebrow. The clothesline on the broadcast table turned “Dirty Dom” inside out. The Double Razor’s Edge looked too sweet. All in all, it was clear that separating Terror Twins from The Judgment Day was the right call. Fans will have to wait and see where the two sides go from here.

Gunther (c) vs. Randy Orton – World Heavyweight Championship

Randy Orton and Gunther main-evented WWE Bash in Berlin. Orton couldn’t help but smile as he listened to the crowd’s reaction. The hometown hero brutalized Orton’s chest with some heavy chops. The challenger retaliated by hurting Gunther’s arm. This was some really good limb work from Orton and a top-notch selling from Gunther. The champion went through a broadcast table, but that wasn’t enough to put him down for long

This title match surpassed the bout between Gunther and Orton in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament. It was a battle of pure in-ring psychology between the two masters of the craft. Gunther is just pure aura and brutal dominance, while Orton is a future Hall of Famer. He may have failed to win his 15th world title, but this isn’t the end of the road for him — not by a long shot.
