Sami Zayn Confronts Gunther On 9/2 WWE Raw

Sami Zayn is officially making a claim for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

During Monday’s episode of WWE RAW , Zayn interrupted Gunther as the champion was gloating about his title defense against Randy Orton at Bash in Berlin. A surprised Gunther watched as Zayn began reflecting on his reign as WWE Intercontinental Championship, and how many great stars had used that belt as a stepping stone to bigger things.

Zayne said he’d be following suit, and that he was now coming after Gunther and his title. Gunther said Zayn had become so popular because of his inability to quit, but that he wouldn’t be giving Zayn a title show just because he wanted one.

As Gunther began to leave, Zayn wondered why Gunther was so afraid to give him a match, and said it was because he was the only one to beat him in the WWE. No matter what, Zayn said, he would be coming for Gunther and the belt.
