    Kairi Sane Shares How She Earned The ‘Pirate Princess’ Nickname

    One of the top stars who has achieved immense success in Japan and in WWE is former NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane . Sane competes on WWE Raw along with IYO SKY and Dakota Kai as part of the Damage CTRL faction. One of the nicknames of the Japanese star is ‘The Pirate Princess.’

    Kairi Sane recently revealed the real reason why she is called the Pirate Princess. The former NXT Women’s Champion took to Twitter to share a short backstory about earning the aforementioned nickname. Sane shared that when she was a student at Hosei University she won a sailing competition and earned the opportunity to compete in the World Sailing Championships representing Japan. Thus she is called the Pirate Princess.

    Why is Kairi Sane the ‘Pirate Princess’?

    “When I was a university student, I won a sailing competition and participated in the World Championships as a representative of Japan. That’s why I was given the nickname “Pirate Princess.” ?‍ The photo shows the sea in Bulgaria.?? #私ガチの船乗りです,” Kairi tweeted .

    This week on WWE Raw, a match took place to determine the number one contenders for the Women’s Tag titles. The former champions, The Unholy Union ( Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn ) took on Damage CTRL’s IYO SKY and Kairi Sane. The Unholy Union managed to pick up the win . But unfortunately, the Pirate Princess took a lot more damage than she wanted to. Sane got injured in her left eye and was bleeding profusely. The Pirate Princess later shared that she had gotten stitches in her eyes.
