Vicious Vicki has a musical connection.

As “The Flame That Never Burns Out,” Vicious Vicki hopes to inspire others with her story of coming from “hell,” but later rising to the top, both personally and professionally.

The motif is also translated in Vicki’s entrance song, specially written and produced by the rock band Downstait . Wrestling fans, of course, are no stranger to the work of Downstait as they’ve written themes for the likes of Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, The Miz, Matt Cardona, and Nic Nemeth.

During a recent interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay , Vicki explained how her relationship with Downstait developed.

Downstait did my theme song for me. They literally — now they’re really good friends of mine, I love them to death. But I gave them a little synopsis of my life. I said, ‘This is what I want.’ And they made this song and it’s amazing, it’s literally perfect. It explains why I’m the ‘flame that never burns out.’ It explains how I came from Hell and did all of these things and I’m rising to the top. Shout-out to them for that because it definitely adds to the character, adds to my persona.”

“It’s always funny because I always say number one, I liked Cody Rhodes before it was cool to like Cody Rhodes,” Vicki said. “Okay, I’m talking about Cody Rhodes, he’s [in] my top five [favorites]. Before Cody and WrestleMania , I just was like, ‘I need something different. I need a different sound.’ I always had custom music just for copyright reasons and stuff like that, but I’m like, ‘I need a flair.’ I need something different that people aren’t doing. So I just said, ‘You know what? What about Downstait?’ Because I know that he does [Matt] Cardona, he did Chelsea Green.”

“I reached out to form this relationship,” Vicki continued.” I met them during WrestleMania week. We all hung out. It was great. We watched night one together. they just came up with this song for me, and it was crazy, man. Now, we have a lifelong friendship.”

Fans of Vicki’s can hear the full Downstait-performed entrance song at her independent wrestling dates across the United States. A snippet of theme can also be found in Vicki’s highlight reel, uploaded to her YouTube channel.
