Brawl Stars is a Mobile Video Game that launched in 2017. It is a game from the makers of the infamous Clash of Clans . Recently a brand-new trailer for the newest season was released. The trailer saw the presence of 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena .

While speaking to Sports Illustrated , John Cena shared his thoughts on the game and how he became a part of the Brawl Stars team. He mentioned that it was a privilege for him to meet the gaming team and praised their efforts in creating the game.

“I don’t think those who program and those who code, they don’t get their pats on the back or their earned words of affirmation and admiration often enough. And to be able to meet the team that’s responsible for putting all this into existence, and throwing together a set of circumstances that over a billion people can connect with, is something that’s affected me.”

Cena also shared his thoughts on collaborating with Brawl Stars and the inclusion of Spongebob Squarepants.

“On the surface it does seem random,” says John Cena of the collaboration, “but there is definitely a connection with all three prongs of the trident. I think between SpongeBob and myself, who provide the meme universe with full ammunition clips any day, all day. So the fact that SpongeBob’s talked about on social media about every four seconds and he’s responsible for his fair share amount of memes, I think I’m right up there with him.”
