Ricochet is not sure about turning heel in AEW.

The former Intercontinental Champion debuted in AEW at Wembley Stadium last month. He made a shock appearance in the Casino Gauntlet match at All In 2024 , receiving a huge reaction from the British crowd.

Ricochet spoke with The Babyfaces Podcast and was asked about the potential of turning heel in AEW. The former WWE star revealed how he is like his character somewhat, before questioning the very dichotomy of babyfaces and heels.

“I think everybody is just an extension of who they feel they are.” Ricochet said. “So I feel like, for me for example, I’m not afraid to tell someone to shut up and smack them in their mouth. But at the same time, I feel like the steps that we could take before we get there. Good guy, bad guy. That’s all just within the person. I feel like there aren’t really good guys and bad guys. Is Thanos the bad guy? Is Killmonger the bad guy? Some people don’t think so.”

“It depends. Everyone’s got their story and how they tell it. People can resonate with that. So maybe one of these days, my story will be told differently than how I feel now. Maybe I’ll feel differently later—who knows. But right now, I feel great, I feel good, and it’s really hard to bring me down.”

Ricochet: I’m Not Afraid To Tell Will Ospreay ‘We’ve Got A Problem’

Ricochet continued, explaining how it’s hard to get on his bad side, which could make turning heel difficult.

However, he added that he’s not afraid to tell Will Ospreay that he has a problem with him, which could help him turn heel in the future.

“In both my real life and my wrestling life, it’s always been hard to get me down or get on my bad side. Sure, I’ll communicate with you, we’ll talk about it, and we’ll fight if we need to. But I’ve always felt that if not for the fans, if not for the people, I wouldn’t be where I am today. So, I’m not afraid to tell Will Ospreay or whomever it is, ‘We’ve got a problem. We can squash it right now.'”

“But you have to be careful. The whole good guy, bad guy thing—it’s different. It’s all about how you feel in the moment, and I might feel differently later.”
