Donovan Dijak: I’m Always Going To Give 100%, That’s What I Want To Define Me

Donovan Dijak is known for many different things in the wrestling business. There’s one thing he’d like people to talk about more.

Dijak spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard to promote his MLW in-ring debut at Fightland . During the conversation, Dijak was asked if there was something he’d like fans to talk about more. He’s known for ratios, T-Bar and his time in ROH/WWE. However, Dijak says he wants to be known as a guy that always gives his all, no matter what he’s doing.

“I am seeing this a lot more, and more, and more, especially from people who see me on these smaller shows. I want people to look at me, I want everybody who’s ever seen me wrestle or seen me perform in any capacity, whether it is acting, podcasts, any of the things that I do creatively or not even creatively whether it’s philanthropy, my family, any passion of mine,” Dijak explained. “If someone is going to think about me, I want them to know that I have given it 100%.”

Dijak knows Twitter is a big platform for him. He also sees some of this recognition by interacting with fans at the merch tables. Some people have caught on, but he hopes that more will see him as a reliable wrestler that give it his all, no matter where he competes.

Dijak is 100% dedicated to his craft

“In terms of in the ring, I’ve never once stepped foot into a ring or stepped into a promotion or cut a promo without my 100% dedication,” Dijak said. ““How can I make this best experience humanly possible for everyone that this matters to?’ I’ve always taken that approach. It is why you see me doing all sorts of crazy spots. Even if it’s only 20 people in the crowd, I just don’t care. This is my craft, it’s what I’m paid to do. This is my job to put on the best performance possible. It is what I am always going to do. And that transcends to everything that I am going to do in my life.

“I hope one day [more] people see that, because some people see it and some don’t. Some people think that I just — there’s a preconceived notion about me,” he added. “I want you to know that I don’t care what the medium is and I don’t care who the viewer is or who the audience is. I’m always going to give 100%. And that’s what I want to define me as a human being.”
