Former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa is cleared to return after she recently suffered a concussion, according to a new report.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio , Rosa previously noted that she suffered the injury. She noted that she would be sidelined for a few weeks. Rosa has not wrestled since the August 31 episode of AEW Collision, where she faced Hikaru Shida, Queen Aminata, and Serena Deeb.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter , Dave Meltzer provided a brief update and noted that Thunder Rosa was cleared to return. (H/t Josh Nason of F4WOnline.com )

Rosa has dealt with multiple injuries in recent years. She missed over a year with a back injury, which forced her to relinquish the AEW Women’s World Championship. Rosa returned in December 2023 and regained her position as a featured member of the women’s division. She had a heated rivalry with Deonna Purazzo, and they clashed on the pre-show ahead of AEW Double or Nothing. They also faced each other in a Texas Bullrope Match.

As of this writing, there is no word on when Thunder Rosa will return to AEW programming. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
