Layla Says ‘Never Say Never’ About Potential WWE Royal Rumble Appearance

Layla teases potentially returning to WWE .

Former WWE Divas Champion and WWE Women’s Champion Layla retired from the ring in 2015. Since then, she has remained fairly absent from the wrestling world. However, she recently revealed that she was asked to return for a Royal Rumble.

Speaking on They Made Their Way To The Ring , Layla noted that she was asked to return for the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful )

“I was asked to one. I do remember it was a legends one,” she said. “I was asked, but at that time I was completely shut off. I haven’t watched Evolution. I will look at it. I watched the Royal Rumble that I was asked to be part of when Kelly Kelly and Melina came back. I did watch that one.”

During the interview, Layla was asked whether she would be open to a future Royal Rumble appearance. She responded by saying, “Never say never.”
