Gunther To Defend WWE World Heavyweight Title Against Sami Zayn On 10/7 WWE RAW

Gunther will put the title on the line on the October 7 episode of WWE RAW .

“The Ring General” has rejected Sami Zayn’s challenge to a match for the World Heavyweight Championship multiple times in recent weeks. Zayn has continued to target Gunther, and his persistence paid off.

When Gunther came to the ring on the September 30 episode of WWE RAW, they went back and forth, and Zayn called Gunther a coward. The champion attacked Zayn and, after he laid him out, he agreed to defend the title against Zayn. The title match was then confirmed for the October 7 episode.

Zayn previously beat Gunther and ended his record-breaking WWE Intercontinental Championship reign at WWE WrestleMania 40.

WrestleZone will have coverage of RAW as it airs on October 7.
