Roxanne Perez has Booker T to thank for where she is today.

Booker T always cheers on his former student at ringside. During her NXT matches, Booker T is Roxanne Perez biggest supporter, and sees big things for her future.

The WWE Hall of Famer trained the NXT Women’s Champion at his wrestling school, and is thrilled to see her flourish into a top women’s champion in the WWE.

Roxanne Perez spoke with Going Ringside , where she was asked about Booker T’s influence on her career.

The NXT Women’s Champion said he has been a big part of his career, complimenting his Reality of Wrestling training school.

She added that Booker T helped her learn the production side of wrestling, which she wouldn’t have learned on her own.

“Booker T has been such a big part of my wrestling career.” Roxanne Perez admitted. “My training growing up… I was 16 years old when I started training at his school, and his school is amazing—Reality of Wrestling. It’s not just a small indie show; he has the production, the entrance—everything. It’s amazing.”

“[Does the production side matter to training?] 100%. One of the hardest things about being on TV and wrestling is that you’re not just worrying about your match. You’re worrying about camera angles, which side you’re going to be on during certain points in the match. Booker T helped me so much with that—facing the cameras. That’s something I wouldn’t have learned just by being on my own.”
