Report: Reactions To Stephanie Vaquer Leaving CMLL, Joining WWE

A new report provides an update on the reactions to Stephanie Vaquer leaving CMLL and joining WWE .

In July, Stephanie Vaquer left CMLL and signed with WWE. The former CMLL World Women’s Champion made her debut at the WWE live event on July 13. She later made her live television debut on the October 8 episode of WWE NXT. Vaquer recently won her first televised WWE match on the October 15 episode of NXT.

Fightful Select reports that Vaquer, who briefly worked with AEW heading into AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, made a good impression. These sources noted that they could tell that WWE had reached out to Vaquer, and she would be heading there, though they were surprised by how quickly it happened.

The report also cites those in WWE have appeared to be “very happy” with Vaquer so far, and she seems to be enjoying her time in WWE as well.

Rhea Ripley On Stephanie Vaquer And Giulia

Former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley expressed her excitement about Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia joining WWE. In an interview with Scott Fishman of TV Insider , Ripley commented on the duo coming to WWE.

“I think it’s amazing,” Rhea Ripley said. “I love watching the women’s division grow and flourish. Having all these incredible women come to WWE is only going to elevate the women’s division even more. I can’t wait to see the kinds of matches they put on NXT. I think they are going to be incredible. Once they come up to Raw and SmackDown, that’s where the fun begins. I’m so excited about that. I think it’s going to be a massive change for them, but a good change.”
