Lenses of Life: Unveiling the Urban, Rural and Suburban Realities exhibition at Perkinson Center for the Arts

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Come on out for an evening of art at the Perkinson Center for the Arts & Education, as the Lenses of Life: Unveiling the Urban, Rural, and Suburban Realities exhibition begins tomorrow.

The Grand Opening of the Lenses of Life: Unveiling the Urban, Rural, and Suburban Realities exhibition will take place place Friday, Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Perkinson Center for the Arts & Education, located at 11810 Centre Street in the Chester area of Chesterfield County. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

The Lenses of Life exhibition will be open from Aug. 16 through Oct. 12, inside of the Baxter and Elaine Perkinson Jr. Art Gallery, highlighting the works of artists Helene Ruiz, Josue Fred, Naomi Cordova, Dorothy Rice, Tahanie Medina and Orisegun Bennet-Olmomidun.

The night of the Grand Opening will feature artist interactions, live poetry readings from Monica Hill and interactive story creation experiences.
