RICHMOND, Va. (STACKER) — How loyal are Virginians to their home state? Here’s a list of Central Virginia counties and cities with the highest percentage of residents who were born and bred in the Commonwealth.

The original list compiled by Stacker included the top 50 Virginia counties and cities with the highest percentage of residents born in Virginia. 8News has narrowed it down to just Central Virginia localities.

Counties are ranked by the highest percentage of residents who were born in the state according to the latest data, which is 2022 five-year estimates. The percentage of residents who were born in another state, a U.S. territory, and another country is also included.
