Driver hits, kills cow in roadway in Prince George County

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A driver hit and killed a cow on Route 460 in Prince George County Friday night.

Just before 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, firefighters with Prince George County Fire and EMS responded to report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 460 near Alden Road in the Disputanta area of the county.

When they arrived at the scene, first responders found that the crash involved a driver who had hit a cow that was in the roadway.

Both the driver and the cow were injured as a result of the crash. The driver’s injuries were not considered life-threatening. However, the cow did not survive.
