RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A Richmond-area brewery will be going cashless by late August.

Starting Tuesday, Aug. 27, both of Hardywood Park Craft Brewery’s locations — one in Richmond and the other right on the border between Richmond and Goochland County — will be transitioning to a cashless payment system.

“This change reflects our dedication to providing you with an exceptional and consistent experience every time you visit our taprooms,” the brewery said on Instagram .

According to Hardywood, those who bring cash to either location will need to put that cash onto a gift card in order to pay with it. That gift card can then be used at any Hardywood taproom.

“We understand this is a significant change and we appreciate your support and understanding as we transition,” the brewery said. “If you have any questions or need assistance with the new payment methods, our Front of House staff can help during this transition.”

Hardywood Park Craft Brewery is a locally owned and operated establishment that opened in Richmond in late 2011 .
